Privacy Policy
pigeo ("pigeo," "we," "us") runs the beta waitlist at pigeotravel.com. This policy explains what we collect when you join, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We've kept it short and in plain English.
1. What we collect
What you give us
- Your email address (required to join).
- Your first name (optional).
- Your dream destination (optional).
What's recorded when you join
- Where you came from: a campaign tag (for example "instagram") or the domain of the site that linked you here.
- The referral code of the friend who shared a link with you, if there was one.
- The date and time you joined, and a random referral code we create for you.
Technical data
Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to deliver and secure the site. We don't use these logs to identify you.
What we don't do
We don't use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels or tracking scripts, and we don't store anything in your browser. The site loads its fonts and images from our own domain, so no third-party service sees your visit.
2. How we use it
- To manage the waitlist and invite you to the beta.
- To email you about pigeo and the beta launch. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To credit referrals and understand, in aggregate, which channels bring people to pigeo.
- To shape the product (for example, which destinations people are dreaming about).
- To keep the waitlist secure and free of spam and abuse.
3. Legal bases (EEA and UK visitors)
We rely on your consent when you choose to join, and on our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and preventing abuse. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We only use these service providers, who process data on our behalf:
- Google (Google Sheets and Apps Script), which stores the waitlist.
- Vercel, which hosts this website.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to a successor if pigeo is involved in a merger or acquisition. If that happens, we'll tell you first.
5. How long we keep it
We keep waitlist information until the beta launches and for up to 12 months afterward, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.
6. Your rights and choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, withdraw your consent, or stop getting emails, at any time. Email hello@pigeotravel.com from the address you signed up with, and we'll respond within 30 days.
- California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We don't sell or share personal information.
- EEA and UK residents can also restrict or object to processing, request a portable copy of their data, and complain to their local data protection authority.
7. Security
The site is served only over HTTPS, runs under a strict content security policy, and every field is validated and cleaned before it's stored. Access to the waitlist is limited to the pigeo team. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
8. Children
pigeo isn't directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK), and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we'll delete it.
9. Where data is stored
Our service providers store data in the United States. If you're outside the US, your information will be transferred there.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For material changes, we'll also email you if you're on the waitlist.
